Daniel Spring to exhibit at Walpole Crafted showcase – Somerset House, April 4-6

Daniel Spring is putting the finishing touches on his ‘Mirage’ polished stainless steel vanity table & mirror, to be exhibited at next week’s Walpole Crafted showcase at Somerset House.

The new piece is a sculptural piece whose reflectiveness will play with the eye, and marks a return to Daniel’s roots as a collectible silversmith.

We are honoured to be part of the ‘Crafted: Makers of the Exceptional’ showcase, and really looking forward to seeing the work of our fellow British craftspeople.

Crafted: Makers of the Exceptional

In celebration of outstanding British Craftsmanship, Walpole and Vacheron Constantin are bringing together a collection of 20 talented and pioneering artisans for the inaugural ‘CRAFTED: MAKERS OF THE EXCEPTIONAL’ showcase, open to the public in Somerset House’s West Wing.

Bringing to life the creative process, from exquisite and rare raw material to desirable and valuable finished work, the showcase offers a unique insight into the excellence of fine craft.

Reflection Series debut at London Design Festival

Daniel Spring debuts Reflection series beds at London Design Festival

RCA-trained designer/maker Daniel Spring will debut his Reflection series of handmade beds during the London Design Festival, 14-23 September.

He transforms his East London showroom and adjoining workshop into three distinctly appointed bedrooms – themed Lavish, Machine and Loft – giving visitors the unique opportunity to see the furniture as well as the place where it is made.

The new collection features highly reflective polished nickel, softened by upholstery in fine fabrics. A standout bed, the four-poster, includes a headboard punctuated by bespoke polished nickel buttons.

The exhibition is open daily 14-23 September from 10am-6pm, with a private view open to journalists and design bloggers on Thursday 20 September from 6-9pm.
